The Mill Valley Film Festival is an annual American film festival that was founded in 1977. It was initially celebrated for only three days. But founder Mark Fishkin decided to expand it to an 11-day celebration. Their first official festival was held on August 1978. The intention behind this event is to present a wide variety of new films in a peaceful and engaging community setting. Every year, the festival welcomes over 200 filmmaker, who represents more than 50 different countries. During the event, they show separate screening section which includes World Cinema, Children’s FilmFest, US Cinema, Active Cinema and much more.

The San Francisco Bay Area has earned their reputation for being a significant market for international and independent films. The Mill Valley Film Festival provides a forum to introduce the new movies to the West Coast audience. Over the past 40 years, the MVFF have made their move and attracted an active roster of talents. They had had actors such as Robin Williams, Jim Jarmusch, Kevin Smith, Bradley Cooper, Lily Taylor, Les Banks and many other talented actors and directors.

This year's festival will be happening from October 5th all the way to October 15th. Located in 1001 Lootens Pl, San Rafael, CA 94901. So if you are a fan of production and films get your tickets before they are all gone.

No refunds, exchanges, substitutions, or reprints. MVFF is not responsible for lost, stolen, forgotten, or damaged tickets, or tickets misdirected by the post office.

To guarantee admittance, ticket and pass holders must be in the appropriate line 30 minutes before published showtime. Doors typically open 30 minutes before showtime.
